| Nestled among the hills and surrounded by vineyards that produce excellent wines, “Uma” B&B is located in heart of Raschiacco, a small village just outside Faedis at about 18 Km from Udine and 9 Km from Cividale del Friuli.
Choosing to stay at “Uma” Bed and Breakfast means experiencing a place of total tranquillity and privacy; our B&B disposes of a single very spacious room of about 30 squared meters with a maximum of four beds. As well as ensuring that the room is regularly cleaned and tidied, we offer a large continental breakfast catering for all tastes and needs.

1. Wine tasting:
The sweetness of landscape and the tranquillity of the surroundings are the ideal setting for walks and excursions which cannot but include a taste of the local food specialities and excellent wines. Faedis is home to some of the most ancient vineyards in Friuli, including centenarian Picolit and Refosco vines. These wines, now produced in all of the DOC Colli Orientali del Friuli area, have taken place of pride on the tables of the great courts of Europe since the middle of the 18th century measuring their strength against such famed wines as the sweet whites from Hungary and the reds from Burgundy.

3. Excursions in the Raschiacco area (Canal del Ferro, Costalunga, Raschiacco); duration: aprox. 1 hour and 30 minutes
Suggested clothing/equipment: trekking or climbing boots;
Description: the excursion starts from Canal del Ferro, a village just north of Faedis which is reached following the road leading to Canal di Grivò. The ancient mule track that leads to Costalunga can be joined at Canal del Ferro di sopra at 204 m. above sea level or at Canal del Ferro di sotto at 188 m. above sea level. Whichever the starting point, the track will lead directly to Costalunga at 593 m. above sea level and from here to Monte Forchiai, 482 m. Half way along road between Costalunga and Monte Forchiai you can chose to take the forestry road that runs a few metres below, down to the Ponca, a water reservoir on the Grivò torrent, or to continue along the upper track to Raschiacco, 179 m. above sea level.
